This is not an official hello. I'm currently in the process of putting this website together and a test-post will be helpful for me to see what I'm working with.

The image above is probably the logo! I think it's fun. I designed a few different possibilities and nobody picked this one, but it's my favourite and I ultimately have the final say, haha. Still, at this stage of development, nothing is locked in quite yet.

Ghost, the platform to which my humble site belongs, recommended to focus less on design or making things pretty at the start. I can't do that, unfortunately. I can't bring myself to treat this site as real or valid until it's set up the way I like it. It's a bit like setting up your desk space before you can start to work. Sure, I could force myself to do it anyways – and this may very well be an excuse to procrastinate – but something about the barren landscape feels unwelcoming to the creative spirit. Or, perhaps, that my creativity has been focused upon adding colour and filling in the spaces and there's no room for writing.

Whatever the reason may be, this unofficial hello will be the first and only piece of writing for awhile. Hopefully I figure out the coding soon and can actually use this site. (Fingers crossed).
